I'm Sethembile Shiba (Shibz), and I run Pivot with Shibz as a solo practitioner. This notice covers pivotwithshibz.com and the VRI™ at vri.pivotwithshibz.com. I'm the person responsible for your information, so if you have any question about it, please reach out to me.
What I collect, and why
- The VRI™ (Volatility Resilience Inventory): your name, email, WhatsApp number (optional), career stage, your VRI™ results and the date you gave consent. I use these to show and send your results, and to send you career insights and offers that match your result.
- Contact form: your name, email, what you're interested in and your message, so I can reply to you.
- Newsletter and masterclass waitlist: your name and email (and WhatsApp number, if you choose to give it), so I can send you what you signed up for.
- Booking a call: when you book through Calendly, I receive your name, email and anything you write in the booking form, so I can prepare for and hold the call.
- Website analytics: I use Google Analytics to see, in general terms, how people find and use the site (for example, which pages are visited and which buttons are tapped). This uses cookies and does not tell me who you are.
Purchases of my tools and programmes are handled by Coachli. I don't see or store your card details. Coachli's own privacy policy applies to payments.
What I will never do
Your information is only handled by the services I use to run this website and my practice: Netlify (website hosting and forms), Zoho Mail (email), Google Analytics (statistics), Calendly (bookings) and Coachli (payments). Some of these services store information on servers outside South Africa and Eswatini, for example in the United States. I only use established providers that protect personal information.
Coaching conversations are confidential
Anything you share with me in a discovery call or a coaching session stays between us. I don't share it with your employer or anyone else.
How long I keep it
I keep your information for two years after we were last in touch, or until you ask me to delete it, whichever comes first. Client records from paid coaching may be kept longer where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 and other applicable data-protection laws, you can:
- ask what information I hold about you, and get a copy
- ask me to correct it or delete it
- unsubscribe from my emails at any time, using the link in any email or by writing to me
- object to how I use your information
To do any of these, email hello@pivotwithshibz.com. I'll respond within 14 days.
If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (New Zealand).

If I change how I handle information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
